Keeper cask system for improving cask ale shelf life and quality

A keeper cask system for storage and delivery of ale or beer in fully hygienic conditions comprising gas supply valve 2, hygienic ale-out valve with one-way valve 4 on the ale-out valve to prevent back-flow into the cask between servings, a pressure release valve 3 for maintaining optimum pressure within the cask. Screw in filing cap 1 enables the cask to be filled. Ale delivery pipework (9, fig 2) and valve diameters are large enough both to allow ale delivery using the forcing pressure from a bar-top hand pump and to cope with yeast and small debris in the same way as a traditional cask. The system may be used for a keg. The cask or keg may be piped to a hand pump with a supplementary pump if required.Figure 1.
