UE measurements

Examples of the disclosure relate to reporting availability of UE measurements. A UE receives a connection setup message and in response, enables transmission of a report wherein the report comprises an indication of measurement availability for one or more measurements performed by the UE and an indication of validation status for one or more measurements performed by the UE. The report may indicate measurements available, not available or ongoing (partially available), validation not started, ongoing, completed, cell detected or index availability. The connection setup message may be an RRCSetup message or an RRCResume message. The measurements indicated in the report comprise measurements for assisting set up of Carrier Aggregation CA or set up of Dual Connectivity DC. Measurements are performed while the UE is in idle or inactive mode or during connection setup. The network may also transmit a further information request after waiting a period of time.
