Zusammenfassung: | A method at a first network entity (e.g. user plane function (UPF)) comprising: obtaining a packet delay measurement (e.g. packet delay measurement on the N6 interface), obtaining a jitter calculation parameter (e.g. a bin size, distribution calculation window, measurement period), obtaining jitter information based on the packet delay measurement and the jitter calculation parameter, and transmitting the jitter information to a second network entity (e.g. session management function (SMF)). The jitter calculation parameter may be a predetermined value or may be determined based on: extended reality (XR) traffic characteristics, media traffic characteristics, periodicity, data burst time, or traffic direction. A method at a core network entity comprising: obtaining jitter information (e.g. from an application function or from another core network entity) and transmitting RAN assistance information to a radio access network (RAN), the RAN assistance information comprising the jitter information (e.g. time sensitive communication (TSC) or radio resource control (RRC) assistance information). |
