Zusammenfassung:A multi-speed gearbox (204, Figure 3) for a power tool (100, Figure 1) includes a first stage gear assembly, A, with first gears 308 operatively coupled to a first carrier 310, and a ring gear 306. A second stage gear assembly, B, includes second gears 318 operatively coupled to a pinion 314. A switch (206, Figure 2) is coupled to the ring gear. The switch is configured to selectively move the ring gear between first and second positions. In the first position the ring gear is operatively coupled to the first gears. In the second position the ring gear is operatively coupled to the first carrier and the first gears. The first gears may be planetary gears. The second gears may be compound gears. An input gear 302 may couple the first gears to a motor 202. An output gear 320 may couple the second gears to a driver portion 104, or to a crankshaft of the driver portion. The power tool includes a driver portion, such as a ratchet head, coupled to a housing 102, and the multi-speed gearbox coupled to a motor. The gear ratios of the two gear assemblies may be 1:1, 3.6:1, 2.2:1, 4.25:1, or 1.6:1.
