Zusammenfassung:	A vacuum pump (10, fig 1) has a housing (12, fig 1) defining a pump chamber (14, fig 1), an inlet and an outlet 22, where two rotor assemblies (16, fig 1) are arranged in the pump chamber. Each rotor assembly comprises a one pump element (18, fig 1), a first end (24, fig 1) and a second end (26, fig 1). A front cover 28 is connected to the housing at the second end of the rotor assembly and has at least one cooling element 34, 36 with a radial symmetry. The vacuum pump may be a 2-shaft rotor pump, such as a claw pump, a roots pump or a screw pump. There may be two cooling elements, each radially symmetric around an axis of rotation of each rotor assembly. The cooling element may comprise cooling ribs 38, 40, such as circular ribs connected by radial webs 42.
