Zusammenfassung:An ejection method comprising receiving, by a processor 160, an ejection command for ejecting an ejection seat 14 from an aircraft; determining, by the processor 160, an equivalent airspeed and an equivalent altitude of the ejection seat; and, responsive to the airspeed and the altitude indicating a second mode of operation: sending, by the processor 160, a command to deploy a drogue parachute (610, fig 6B); determining, by the processor 160, a variable drogue severance delay (sequencer 502m figure 5); and responsive to the variable drogue severance delay expiring, sending, by the processor, a command to sever the drogue parachute and deploy a main parachute (620, Fig 6B). Additionally provided is a system of ejection and an ejection seat. Preferably, the variable drogue severance delay is determined using either a polynomial calculation, a quadratic calculation or a linear calculation utilising minimum and maximum bounds.
