Zusammenfassung:	A strain of Pseudomonas laurylsulfativorans (laurylsulfatovorans) CNBG-PGPR-8 per se. Also claimed is a microbial inoculum or a preparation or composition comprising the P. laurylsulfativorans strain. Also claimed is the use of the P. sulfativorans or the microbial inoculum or composition in promoting plant growth. Also claimed is the use of the P. sulfativorans or composition in improving the salt tolerance of plants. The salt may be a sodium chloride (NaCl) solution with a mass concentration of 0.5% to 5%. Also claimed is a method for obtaining plants with high or improved salt tolerance comprising applying the P. sulfativorans strain or microbial inoculum to the plant(s). The concentration of P. sulfativorans may be 107-109 CFU/mL. The plants may include tomato plants.
