Zusammenfassung:A rotor assembly (10, Fig. 1) for a brushless permanent magnet motor is provided. The rotor assembly includes a shaft (12, Fig. 1), a bearing assembly (16, Fig. 1) mounted to the shaft; and a mounting member 24 for mounting the bearing assembly to a frame of the brushless permanent magnet motor. The mounting member 24 includes an outer portion 32 attachable to the frame, an inner portion 30 attached to the bearing assembly, and a plurality of evenly spaced arms 34, 36, 38 extending from the outer portion 32 to the inner portion 30. Each of the arms 34, 36, 38 has a first portion 40, a second portion 42 and a third portion 44 which are shaped and dimensioned to define apertures 46 through the mounting member 24. A brushless permanent magnet motor having such a rotor assembly, a vacuum cleaner and a haircare appliance are also disclosed.
