Zusammenfassung:A rotatable cleaning element 10 for a hard floor cleaner, comprising an external surface 14 for engagement with a hard floor 16, wherein a first portion 22 of which comprises a plurality of flock fibres 42 and a second portion 20 of which is absent of flock fibres. The first portion may be in multiple, parallel helical or straight strips, which may be inserts received and clamped in recesses 28 in the cleaning element, which may be recessed with respect to the second portion when not in use. The second portion is preferably an absorbent material. The cleaning element may have an inner chamber 26 receiving clean water via an inlet 30, which is delivered via at least one outlet 32, 36 through the first portion. An extractor element (54, fig.3) removes dirty water from the cleaning element via an engagement portion, where the dirty water is received in a dirty water tank via an inner chamber (58, fig.3). The extractor element may have a rotatable helix element (60, fig.3) defining an Archimedes screw.
