Zusammenfassung: | A data capture device (100, figs. 4 and 5) for detecting optical data such as bar codes, comprising a primary housing 104 having inner (500, fig. 5) and outer (108, Fig. 4) surfaces; a mounting accessory 120 coupled to the inner surface of the housing by a latch (404, 408, Fig. 4) on the mounting accessory and hook 504, 508 on the primary housing, the mounting accessory configured to mount the device an index finger (202, Fig. 2) of an operator. The latch may be releasable. There is a thumb-operated trigger 128 on the mounting accessory, on a wall which may be at right angles to the outer surface. There may be a primary trigger on that outer surface. The primary trigger may use a contact based sensor or a contactless sensor such as an inductive, capacitive, pressure, light or temperature sensor. The primary housing may include a controller. The mounting accessory may also include electrical contacts (402, Fig. 4), perhaps with matching contacts (512, Fig. 5) on the inner surface, which allow an accessory identifier to be read from memory, the identifier allowing one or other trigger to be disabled. The device may include a scanning window 116. |
