Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A modular tree (100, Fig 1) comprises a trunk formed from interconnects 20 and branches 30 wherein the interconnects have first 21 and second 22 ends with engagement means (23, Fig 4B) in the same plane as the longitudinal axis of the trunk for receiving part of branch(es). Part of the branch(es) extend from the engagement means to be received by a separate adjacent interconnect. The interconnects are stacked one atop another with branches sandwiched between adjacent interconnects and space branches lengthwise along the trunk. The engagement means may comprise a slot(s) and / or a recess for receiving an end of an adjacent interconnect. Preferably the branches are substantially flat and include at least one interlocking slit for interlocking with another branch. The interconnects preferably are substantially right circular cylindrical form. Preferably a base is provided into which an interconnect engages with supporting legs. Each branch may have a socket region for receiving an interconnect and / or apertures, formed therein for receiving and securing decorations or gifts. A modular tree may be formed from wood, cardboard, metal, metal alloy, bio-composite, green composite, bioplastic, or bio-resin materials. synthetic plastics, nylon, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polypropylene or polyurethane.
