Apparatuses and methods for negative pressure wound therapy

A system for negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) comprises a drape 900 comprising a stiffening reinforcement member 910 with an access window 912 positioned over an opening 922 through a cover layer 920 for fluidically connecting to a source of negative pressure, a support layer 930 having one or more perforations 932 positioned beneath the cover layer 920, a spacer layer 940 for distributing negative pressure beneath the cover layer 920, and a wound contact layer 950 beneath the support layer 930 and the spacer layer 940. A NPWT apparatus, such as a suction adapter or a wound dressing may be coupled to the drape applied on a wound. The drape may be coupled with two or more different types of NPWT apparatuses and can stay on the wound during coupling and decoupling of a NPWT apparatus and may withstand multiple couplings and decouplings.
