Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for forming a joint between first and second members 1, 2 includes location means. The location means include an insert 6 (such as a screw or dowel), a channel or opening 3 in the first member 1 adapted to receive said insert 6, and the second member including a channel or opening 5 adapted to receive a protrusion 9 from or of the insert 6. The location means facilitates the relative positioning and/or alignment of the first and second members 1, 2. Fastening means may be used to further secure the first and second members 1, 2 together on the joint. A plurality of location means and/or fastening means may be provided ta spaced apart location along the joint as required. The first and second members 1, 2 may be panels of an item of furniture.
