Zusammenfassung:A wand 1000 for a vacuum cleaner comprises a first end (1018, fig 62) connectable to a main unit of the vacuum cleaner, a second end (1020, fig 62) connectable to a cleaner head of the vacuum cleaner, the first end opposite to the second end. The wand further comprises a connection release mechanism for releasing a connection between the wand and the cleaner head. The connection release mechanism comprising a connection breaking member 1040 which may be in the form of a wedge for breaking a connection between the wand and the cleanerhead, and one or more push members 1042, 1045 for pushing the cleaner head away from the wand when the cleaner head is connected to the second end of the wand.
