Zusammenfassung:Method performed at a User Equipment (UE) of a wireless communication system. The UE receives multicast (MBS) pre-configuration information for a multicast session, which the UE has requested to join. The multicast pre-configuration information is received prior to the activation of the multicast session. At a base station, the requested multicast session is established. The pre-configuration is sent to the UE before the session starts. The pre-configuration information may be included in at least one of a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message and a system information block (SIB). The pre-configuration information may include at least one of a radio bearer configuration information associated with low or high QoS transmission, discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration information, and neighbour cell multicast configuration information. The pre-configuration may comprise an update of existing configurations for receiving data via the multicast session. The multicast pre-configuration information may be received in a message for causing the UE to be put in a non-connected RRC state, such as RRC_IDLE and RRC_INACTIVE. The pre-configuration information may be received after a cell reselection process. The pre-configuration request may be sent after performing a PRACH procedure.
