Capsule

A capsule, cartridge or reservoir or the like 10 for use with an electronically heated/controlled shisha pipe, the capsule or the like having a cavity being of the type that contains a consumable product such as a vapourisable or combustible smoking product. A machine readable or interrogable indicator, barcode, RFID tag, QR code or similar 40is provided on the capsule. The indicator provides data instructions for a transient heating profile of the consumable product, including a plurality of heating temperature values or power values and associated timings for said values. There is also disclosed an electronically heated water pipe having a heating chamber configured to receive the capsule, the water pipe having at least one sensor 42 configured to electronically read or interrogate the interrogable indicator or the like. The indicator may have a security code or token and the water pipe may prevent use of the capsule until the security code has been validated.
