Zusammenfassung:A steering column assembly (10, Figure 1) for a vehicle includes a steering column (12, Figure 1) rotatable about its longitudinal axis to which a steering wheel (20, Figure 1) is attachable at one end. A first gear 34 is connected to and rotatable with the steering column at a location spaced from the steering wheel attachment portion, typically at the other end of the steering column. First and second motors 68, 70 are provided whose outputs are connected to and rotatable with respective first and second 42, 44 worm screws which are engaged with the first gear. A controller is provided to operate the motors, comprising a circuit board 76 between the worm screws and their respective motors and including a motor output position sensor for each motor. A vehicle with such a steering column is also provided.
