Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The lancing device comprises housing 13, a needle lancet 7 and a shroud 17, with a biasing member 18 coupled between lancet and shroud, possibly in the form of plastic spring legs. The lancet is configured to be movable from an operational position, where it is retained by features of the housing, for example legs 14. When the shroud is moved rearwards to a second point with respect to the housing, the lancet is driven to a retracted position (figure 9) by stored energy released from the biasing member 18. This follows the shroud being pressed against the skin around a sampling site, moving it through a first point which allows the needle to contact the sampling site. The biasing member may be formed integrally with the shroud and be primed during rearward movement of it. The device may be a single-use lancing device for providing a sample of blood.
