Zusammenfassung:	A mount 100, which can be in the form of a tray 101, for the support of a sample collection vessel comprising a receptacle 202 and lid 204. The mount comprises a guiding formation 102 which can be in the form of a shallow recess 104 arranged to engage with the receptacle and the lid of the vessel separately, and to allow for relative sliding motion between the receptacle and the lid when engaging with the formation so as to facilitate closure between the receptacle and lid. The recess may be generally rectangular in shape, and comprise one or more retaining protrusions to retain the sample collection vessel within the guiding formation. The mount may also comprise a support recess 110 arranged to support the sample collection vessel in an upright position.
