Zusammenfassung:	A method of storing ethane comprises storing ethane in a plurality of storage pipes 23 as a liquid at ambient temperature conditions. The storage pipes may be provided on a transportation vehicle, such as a tanker 2. The ambient temperature conditions can be between 0-40 degrees C, or 0-25 degrees. The pressure conditions can be between 35-49 barg. The diameter of each storage pipe can be between 1-1.5m and its length between 10-30m. Each pipe can be formed from a rolled pipe with a single longitudinal seam. Hydrocarbon production can be enhanced by transporting ethane stored as described and then injecting the ethane into a dry gas pipeline. Prior to being injected into the dry gas pipeline, the ethane can be offloaded to a second plurality of storage pipes provided at a storage facility. A booster pump may be used to pump the ethane into the dry gas pipeline, and the ethane can be statically mixed with the dry gas in the dry gas pipeline.
