Bait grinding

A method and grinder for grinding bait for fishing comprises a portable, electric motor driven grinder that includes a base unit 1 and a container 2. The base unit comprises at least one battery providing a voltage of at least 6 volts, a motor providing a power of at least 40 watts and having a no-load speed of at least 15000 revolutions per minute. Also envisaged is a grinder for grinding fish bait including a spindle within the container which has at least one blade 12, and a motor connected to the spindle which turns it, enabling it to grind. At least one displacing arm 11 is connected to the spindle and extends parallel to the base of the container, is located on the spindle closer to the base of the container than the blade(s), and has a clearance from the base of the container of less than 5 millimetres.
