Zusammenfassung:A cleaner head for a vacuum cleaner comprises a main body having a suction chamber, and a roller 81 rotatably mounted to the main body at a location forward or rearward of the suction chamber. The roller is configured to rotate in a first direction when the cleaner head is manoeuvred over a cleaning surface in one of a forward direction and a rearward direction and is prevented from rotating in a second opposite direction when the cleaner head is manoeuvred over the cleaning surface in the other of the forward direction and the rearward direction. The roller may be configured to move vertically relative to the main body between a lower position and an upper position with the roller biased to the lower position. The roller may be mounted to the main body by a clutch bearing.
