Zusammenfassung:	A heat-reducing device for preventing heat transfer from a barrel-assembly of a firearm to an external forend member of the firearm comprises a barrel-facing part (52) and a forend facing part (54). The barrel-facing part (52) has an inner surface (52A) facing the barrel assembly (20) and an outer surface (52B). The forend member-facing part (54) has an outer surface (54A) facing the external forend member and an inner surface (54B). A plurality of stems (55) extend between the outer surface of (52B) of the barrel-facing part (52) and an inner surface (54B) of the forend member-facing part (54), each stem (55) having a cross-section (55A). The area of the outer surface (52B) of the barrel-facing part (52) is at least 10 times greater than the combined area of the cross-sections (55A) of the stems (55).
