Zusammenfassung: | A method of performing quality assessment during manufacture of or processing of a product is comprises: providing a specification 500 for the product, generating synthetic data 400 representative of the appearance of the product when not defective and, separately, the appearance when defective. An AI model is trained 420 using the synthetic data to distinguish between acceptable products and defective products. The trained AI model is then used 450 on images of real products. The generating of the synthetic data is based on the specification provided. Defective and not defective products are defined based on whether the products conform with the specification. On-line and off-line inspection systems are described, using an AI trained on synthetic appearance data produced using a specification. The specification may be technical drawings, technical specifications, or images. The appearance data may be the appearance of the product under ultrasound, radar, or x-ray imaging. |
