Zusammenfassung: | A haircare appliance 10 comprising an intermediate attachment 14 detachably connecting to a main body 12, and a hair treatment attachment 16 detachably connecting to the intermediate attachment. The intermediate attachment has an inlet (60, fig.5) for receiving airflow from a generator (44, fig.3) in the main body, and an outlet (62, fig.5) for emitting the airflow to the hair treatment attachment, which emits the airflow towards hair in use. The intermediate attachment has a sensor module (50, fig.5) for sensing a property of at least one of hair to be treated and the hair treatment attachment. Sensor output may be used to automatically control the airflow generator or a heater (42, fig.3), used to provide user feedback, and/or wirelessly transmitted remotely. The sensor module may include a distance sensor, a moisture sensor, a temperature sensor, a sensor for sensing a hair treatment attachment type, and an imaging sensor. The main body and intermediate attachment are preferably inductively coupled via first and second coils (46, 48, fig.4). |
