Zusammenfassung:A film lid 116 for sealing to a tray 112 for the containment of food, wherein the film lid comprises first 120 and second sealing 122 portions for sealing the film lid over an opening of said tray, wherein the first sealing portion comprises a peelable lacquer, and wherein the second sealing portion is free from peelable lacquer, preferably wherein the first and second sealing portions are integral to the film lid, more preferably wherein the first sealing portion comprises a peelable lacquer applied at a weight of between 1GSM and 4GSM. The film lid may be made from a single polymer and held by a weld sealing layer or an adhesive layer. The film lid may be made from polyester or polypropylene. The film lid may be a laminate formed from two layers, wherein optionally both layers are of the same material.
