Zusammenfassung: | A vehicle cabin sensing system 200 comprises an electronic control unit (ECU) 201 and a camera system 202. The camera system comprises multiple image sensors 203 (e.g., colour RGB, depth time of flight (TOF), thermal, near infrared (NIR) or longwave infrared, LWIR sensors), wherein each image sensor provides respective sensor data, a combination (merging) circuit 205 configured to combine the sensor data provided by the image sensors into combined sensor data, and an interface 206 configured to transmit the combined sensor data to the electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to receive the combined sensor data and to perform vehicle cabin sensing using the combined (fused) sensor data. Different resolution image sensors or detectors may be used, e.g. with a colour image sensor having double or four times the resolution of a thermal image sensor. |
