Quality review management system

A quality review management system 112 and method of reviewing the operation of a process being implemented by process equipment comprises a rules database 124 for storing one or more rules and an exception engine 122. The exception engine operates in real time to processes data within a data message from the process equipment using the rules in the rules database to determine if the data within the data message includes an exception or an indication of a future exception as defined by one or more of the rules and upon identifying an exception stores information about the exception as an exception record. Providing live feedback to a process operator that an exception has occurred or is about to occur enables the operator to take action to mitigate or avoid the exception. The quality review management system further comprises a review interface 128 that presents information regarding the exception or future exception to a user via the user interface and provides the user with data stored for the exception record that enables the user to take an action with respect to the exception record.
