Zusammenfassung:	A plain bearing 1 and a corresponding method of manufacture are provided. The plain bearing comprises an outer ring 2 and an inner ring 3, the outer ring 2 and the inner ring 3 comprise respectively an inner surface 5 and an outer surface 6 which cooperate with each other for the relative movement of the outer and inner rings 2, 3. The inner surface 5 of the outer ring 2 and the outer surface 6 of the inner ring 3 each include a coating including at least one layer. The hardness of the coating on the inner surface 5 of the outer ring 2 is less than the hardness of the outer ring 2; and the hardness of the coating on the outer surface 6 of the inner ring 3 is greater than the hardness of the inner ring 3.
