Zusammenfassung:	A system suitable for forensic evidence recovery from a sample 110, comprises; a downdraft table 10 comprising a perforated surface 30 defining a plurality of openings 30'; a spectrometer 60, which may be an ion mobility spectrometer; a transfer line 50 defining a fluid flow path from the downdraft table to the spectrometer, and a fan, blower or pump 70 to move a sample from the table to the spectrometer. The system may include a digital camera 90 with light source 95 and filters 99 to image the sample. The table may have identity markings on the perimeter. The system for forensic evidence recovery enables combined image and chemical evidence recovery.
