Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A method and a system for removing oxygenates (e.g. monoethylene glycol, MEG, or triethylene glygol, TEG) from hydrocarbon fluids during processing of the hydrocarbon fluids at a processing facility. The method comprises: after a first water separation processing stage performed at a high temperature, wherein the high temperature is sufficiently high to cause oxygenates to migrate from a water phase to an oil phase of the hydrocarbon fluids, injecting a first amount of water into the hydrocarbon fluids; cooling the hydrocarbon fluids, whereby oxygenates are caused to migrate from a hydrocarbon phase into a water phase as a result of the cooling; and performing a second water-separation processing stage.
