Zusammenfassung:	A method of bonding a fibrous material such as the non-woven fabric 146 of an absorbent core and a (PVA or PVOH) polyvinyl alcohol film 144 in a bottom sheet of a sanitary pad comprises applying a polyvinyl alcohol solution binder layer 148 to a surface of the PVA film and/or to a surface of the fibrous material 146 such that the applied PVA solution 148 is positioned between the PVA film 144 and the fibrous material 146 upon contact. A PVA primer layer 142 may also be applied to the exposed surface of the non-woven fabric 146. Upon disposal in water, soluble PVA binders and PVA films dissolve and allow insoluble layer components to disperse. Additional methods are disclosed for manufacturing a sanitary pad and a bottom layer of a sanitary pad, attaching and assembling release liners, and the patterning of and patterning adhesives on release liners. Various compositions of sanitary pads are also disclosed.
