Prevention of backfiring of a pre-chamber gas valve of a combustion engine

An arrangement 10 for a pre-chamber gas valve 12 of a combustion engine to avoid or impair backfiring or flashbacks of a combustible mixture and/or to enable a flame retardation within a respective pre-chamber. The arrangement comprises a housing 14 having an outer surface 16 with a channel 18. The channel has first and second ends 20, 22 in communication with the outer surface and connectable to a valve seat of the pre-chamber gas valve. The arrangement comprises a plurality of protrusions 34 extending from the outer surface of the housing and spaced apart circumferentially, wherein a cavity 36 between the protrusions is larger in a radial and/or axial direction than in the circumferential direction. The protrusions may be formed as a solid body of metal or ceramic material, integrally formed or formed as a single piece with the housing, extending axially, radially and/or circumferentially in relation to the housing, spaced apart in an axial direction, include surface irregularities to impair flow, and/or form a mesh or helical structure. A pre-chamber comprising a body 26, an inner surface 28, a gas inlet 30 and the arrangement. A combustion engine comprising the pre-chamber.
