Zusammenfassung: | Determining a received symbol value based on one or more predetermined probability values. Received symbol information may include a complex modulated symbol (e.g. a quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) symbol) with a real part and an imaginary part. A soft demapper demodulates the received symbols to generate output data including log-likelihood ratio values or approximated log-likelihood ratio values for the bits in the sequence of bits represented by the received symbol information. By performing a lookup operation an interpolated value between predetermined probability values may be returned. The soft demapping performed is referred to as demodulation, symbol demodulation, and/or scrambling demodulation. It may demodulate data for fifth-generation (5G) new radio (NR). Alternatively, pre-computed tables for different modulation schemes may be stored in texture memory of a graphics processing unit (GPU) and the soft demapping involves using texture lookup operations whereby bits are mapped to colour components (e.g. red, green, blue, alpha) of a stored texture image. A single texture fetch operation provides four log-likelihood ratios corresponding to four colour channels of texture, where a texture coordinate used for lookup is from either a real or an imaginary component of a received complex symbol. |
