Zusammenfassung:A method of monitoring a condition of a component of a gas turbine engine 100, comprises: obtaining, with a non-contact monitoring sensor 210, 214, 216, 222, 224, 226, monitoring data, wherein a portion of the monitoring data relates to the condition of the component; obtaining, using a position sensor 219, positional data relating to the component's position; communicating the monitoring and position data to a processing module 230a, and analysing, using the processing module, the monitoring and positional data to determine the portion of the monitoring data which relates to the component and determine a condition of the component. The monitoring sensor may be a camera 210, 226, a vibration sensor 214, 216, 224, and/or a microwave sensor 222. A speed sensor 212 may be included.
