Electrical connector with rotatable cover

An electrical connector assembly 100 comprises a connector housing 110 with an opening 113 and a pivot assembly 112; the connector assembly further comprises a cover 120 comprising mounting means 122 (Figure 5) for pivotally mounting the cover to the pivot assembly to facilitate the movement of the cover between a pre-locked and a locked position; the cover further comprises a sealing member 124 (Figure 6) which cooperates with the sealing surface of the connector housing; the pivot assembly comprises guiding means 115, 116 (Figure 4) configured to cooperate with guiding features 123 (Figure 7) of mounting means to guide the cover between the pre-locked position, where the opening is maintained uncovered, and the locked position, where the opening is sealingly covered and the cover (120) is secured on the connector housing (110). Latching mechanisms 127 (Figure 7) may be included. Locking mechanisms 117 may also be included. A connector position assurance (CPA) member 140 may be included.
