Zusammenfassung: | An antenna comprises a ceramic substrate 10 which is mounted on a copper tape or metal plate 12. Mounted on the ceramic substrate 10 on a surface remote from the metal plate 12 is a radiating patch element 14. Interface means 14a is electrically connected to a ground plane 18 mounted on the metal plate 12 and is separated from the radiating patch element by a gap 18a. The gap is bridged by means 20, which comprises a copper tape or conductive adhesive. The substrate, radiating patch element and interface means are accommodated within a hole in the ground plane such that the elements 20, 14a, 16 and 14 are substantially flush the surface of the ground plane 18. The radiating patch element is provided with an electrical connection 22 to associated circuitry which may pass through a central hole in the ceramic substrate and metal plate. The antenna has a low radar cross and is suitable for stealthy applications. |
