Powder system for the care of hair

Powder-form composition for care of keratinous fibres comprising: 5.0-35.0 % surfactant, e.g. non-ionic surfactant, cationic surfactant, amphoteric surfactant, zwitterionic surfactant or anionic surfactant e.g amino acid-based surfactants, isethionates, and/or alkyl sulphates; 40.0-80.0 % binder and/or thickener, preferably clay minerals such as bentonites and/or polysaccharides such as starch and its derivatives; and 0.1-15 % hair conditioning active ingredient, preferably refatting agents and/or lipids, emollients, moisturisers, vitamins and/or derivatives and precursors thereof, cationic polymers, and/or anti-dandruff active ingredients. Most preferably, the surfactant is sodium cocoyl isethionate and/or disodium cocoyl glutamate, the binder/thickener is starch, maltodextrin, and/or bentonite and the hair conditioning agent is tocopherol, lecithin, and/or glycerine. A ready-to-use composition is formed when the product is dissolved and/or emulsified in water. Also disclosed is a process for care of hair where the powder is dissolved in water, spread on the hair in the emulsified form, and rinsed off in 10 seconds - 15 minutes. The composition is used to improve the hair fell, disentanglability, and/or combability. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the powder-form composition where all the ingredients are missed and optionally sieved to produce the powder.
