Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A method comprising receiving historical usage data 114, 116 of engines of machines 102, training an engine monitoring model 108 to identify a usage profile that indicates potential failure of the engine, wherein the usage profile identifies an operational range of an operating parameter (e.g. speed or temperature of an engine component, or emissions or intake of the engine) according to an operating profile (e.g. optimized performance/ useful life), receive usage data that includes a measurement of the parameter preferably by an onboard engine monitoring system 104, determine that the engine is configured according to a profile, predict that the engine is likely to fail in a certain time and perform an action associated with the machine. Th action may cause the machine to receive a maintenance service associated with the engine or send a notification to a user interface indicating the engine is likely to fail. A device and non-transistory computer readable medium for performing the method as described. The method, device and system are suitable for remote monitoring 106.
