Zusammenfassung:Disclosed are an image special effect processing method and apparatus, an electronic device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring a video image; in the process of playing the video image, capturing, by means of an image capturing unit of a rendering layer, an image from the video image, and storing same in a data storage layer; acquiring a plurality of frames of image from the data storage layer by means of an image acquisition unit of the rendering layer; performing split-screen processing on the plurality of frames of image by means of a special effect unit of the rendering layer; and outputting an image after split-screen processing, and displaying same on a terminal screen. According to the embodiment, the image is captured from the video image by means of the image capturing unit of the rendering layer and is stored in the data storage layer, the plurality of frames of image are acquired from the data storage layer by means of the image acquisition unit of the rendering layer, the split-screen processing is performed on the plurality of frames of image by means of the special effect unit of the rendering layer, and the image after the split-screen processing is output and is displayed on the terminal screen, whereby a special effect can be realized by means of only modifying the rendering layer, and can be realized in a relatively simple and flexible manner.
