Zusammenfassung: | A component for an electronic vapour provision device 30, 20 of the type having a reservoir 3 from which liquid is delivered to an atomiser 40 comprising an electrically conductive mesh for vaporising vapour into an air flow path 37 through the device, comprises a cotton absorbent element 50 to collect source liquid escaped or leaking from the reservoir 3 and is located upstream of the atomiser 40 with respect to an air flow direction (A fig. 2) along the air flow path 37 when the component is assembled into the device. The absorbent element 50 may be located between the atomiser 40 and a battery (5 fig. 1) and control circuitry (28 fig. 1). The absorbent element 50 may be part of a cap 31 and adjacent an end face of the component (cartomiser 30 or power source 20) which is connectable with another component (power source 20 or cartomiser 30). The absorbent element 50 may be planar, have a thickness of 1-10mm and may increase in volume by not more than 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20% when fully saturated. The absorbent element 50 may include a central aperture 51 aligned with the air flow path of the device/component and cut-outs 52 for electrical contacts. As an alternative to aperture 51 an open structure may allow air passage. |
