Zusammenfassung: | Antiperspirant cosmetic composition, comprising; a) 5 to 40 wt.% of at least one activated aluminium sesquichlorhydrate salt, b) 7 to 30 % by weight of at least one alkyl triester of a C4-8 tricarboxylic acid (preferably citric acid or isocitric acid) with a C1-C4 alcohol, c) 7 to 30 weight% of at least one non-volatile ester, d) 7 to 30 wt.% of PPG-14 butyl ether, the composition being free from volatile silicone oils and comprising not more than 0.5 wt.% water, preferably being anhydrous. Preferably, the composition comprises 0.5 wt.% or less of silicone oil. Preferably the mixture of oil components b), c) and d) has an HLB of 9 or more. The AASCH may have the general formula Al2OH6-xClx wherein x is 1.05 to 1.59. Most preferably the alkyl triester b) is triethyl citrate. Also claimed is a method of using such a composition for improving antiperspirant activity. Further claimed is a non-therapeutic cosmetic method involving applying a composition described supra to the skin. |
