Zusammenfassung:	An electrical connector is characterised by an insulating layer comprising a polymer material having a repeat unit of formula -O-Ph-Ph-O-Ph-CO-Ph- [i] and a repeat unit of formula -O-Ph-Ph-O-Ph-SO2-Ph-Ph-SO2-Ph- [ii] wherein Ph is a phenyl and the repeat unit [i]:[ii] are 95:5 to 80:20 molar ratio. The connector is useful for delivering high voltage power to electrical equipment, in particular for subsea electrical equipment, or when used as part of an assembly with a cable which is arranged to extend downhole from a tubing hanger to electric equipment. A method of manufacturing the connector and an assembly comprising the connector are also disclosed.
