Zusammenfassung:An artificial eye assembly 100 comprising an anterior layer 50 comprising an anterior cavity 52; a flow constricting layer 40 comprising an aperture 42; a flow resistive layer 20 comprising a plurality of pores 29; a posterior layer 10 comprising a posterior cavity 12. A fluid inlet 13 and injection inlet 14 are located in the anterior and/or posterior cavity and a fluid outlet 54 located in the anterior cavity; and wherein the anterior cavity and the posterior cavity are in fluid communication with one another via a fluid path formed through the layers. In use, a fluid introduced under pressure into the assembly via the fluid inlet will flow along the fluid path and exit the assembly via the fluid outlet with a first flow rate. The assembly provides pressurised multi-modular chambers which broadly mimic the various regions of the eye. The assembly also allows for study of ocular pharmacokinetics.
