Louvre, blind or curtain restraint and cord or chain retainer/tensioner

The combined restraint 10 and cord/chain tensioning retainer for louvres, blind slats or curtains. The cord retainer 20 has a barrel element 30 to engage a loop of an operating cord/chain and in which in which the restraint is mounted on the end of the barrel element. The restraint may be U shaped with parallel arms 12, 14 where one arm has an aperture, lugs are in the periphery of the aperture. The retainer may be U shaped having parallel arms 22, 24, the barrel element extends through one of the arms. The barrel may include a semi circular slot on the end of the barrel element which extends through the retainer. A pair of diametrically opposed apertures extend into the end of the barrel element and the diametrically opposed lugs engage via the aperture into the semi circular slot to hold the restraint in position against and relative to the retainer.
