Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:An electrical machine 100 for use in an aircraft, comprising a rotor 102 having multiple poles; and a stator 108 comprising a plurality of phases A, B, C, wherein each respective phase occupies at least one elementary block 116A-F. The block of each phase comprises conductors 114 of the respective phase wound around slots 112 of the respective block in a concentrated winding configuration. The stator further comprises at least one sensor 122A, 122B, located between two elementary blocks; the sensor being configured to measure at least one parameter of the rotor. The sensor may measure angular position or temperature, where the sensor comprises a coil wound around a pair of adjacent slots. The sensor may be connected to a power electronics module that is also connected to the conductors of the phases of the machine, where the sensor coil measurements are based on the voltage induced therein. The machine may be arranged to have different mechanical shift angles between the sensor coil, adjacent elementary block and the rotor pole pitch. The stator may comprise two sensors where the first and second positions can be adjacent or diametrically opposed to each other. The machine may be a three-phase stator permanent magnet 106 rotor machine that forms part of an aircraft propulsion system
