Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A security device 50 for a cash presenting mechanism of an automated teller machine, the security device having a first roller member 52 and a second roller member 54; the axis of rotation of the first roller member being substantially parallel to, but laterally offset with respect to, the axis of rotation of the second roller member. The security device may be installed onto cash dispensing belts in a cash dispensing region of the cash presenter such that portions of the cash dispensing belts deviate laterally from the longitudinal direction around the first roller member, between the first and second roller members, and around the second roller member. The first and second roller members may be mounted between first and second mounting plates 55 using apertures 60. A brace member 56 having a fixing cover plate 58 to house mechanical fixings may also extend between the mounting plates. The mounting plates may receive roller members of the cash presenting mechanism using mounting slots 62, allowing for retrofitting of the security device to the cash presenter. The security device makes it difficult for a criminal to insert a cash capture device, such as a cash claw.
