Multiple valve control system and method

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a dowhole valve control system 38. The system includes a plurality of closure devices 12 each comprising a valve 23 and valve controller 26. The system having a transmitter 44 to transmit an electromagnetic signal indicative of a respective target position of the valve to the plurality of valve controllers which each have a receiver 48. Each valve controller of the plurality of valve controllers is configured to control a respective valve of the plurality of valves. The transmitter transmits an electromagnetic signal that includes an encoded message to be decoded by a processor 52 of each valve controller of the plurality of valve controllers. In some examples, the encoded message may include a synchronization message, an instruction message, an error correction message, an encryption message, or any combination thereof that enables the plurality of valve controllers to adjust the plurality of valves to respective target positions.
