Zusammenfassung:	A method of removing a magnetic tooling pin 20 from a planar ferromagnetic support surface 23, comprises providing a pin-placement tool comprising an engagement body 22 and an electrically conductive coil 32. Electrical power is supplied to the conductive coil 32 to create a magnetic field which causes the magnetic attraction between the tooling pin 20 and the support surface 23 to be reduced. The engagement body 22 and engaged tooling pin 20 are moved away from the support surface 23.
