Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:A method of treating an exhaust gas, comprises providing a diesel particulate filter (DPF) 204 with a first and a second filter 210, a decomposition chamber 220 downstream of the DPF, and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) 240 catalyst downstream of the decomposition chamber. The exhaust gas flows through the system and a characteristic is sensed 248 between the first and second catalyst 246 of the SCR. The DPF and SCR share the same centreline axis i.e. coaxial. The DPF may have one or more Silicon Carbide (SiC) filters. The SCR may have one or more extruded SCR catalysts and may be provided with a water capable substrate mat. A service hatch or opening may be present to facilitate removal of the DPF. A noise attenuation component may be present after the SCR. A reductant delivery system 230 may be present.
